About Us

Overlooked Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in the aftermath of the Pacific Palisades fire. It began as a personal effort to support families who lost everything and quickly revealed a larger truth: disasters expose major gaps in support systems, and many survivors are left without meaningful help once the headlines disappear.

As our work expanded from the Palisades to Altadena and other communities across California, it became clear that a significant number of people are consistently overlooked. Under-insured families, renters, seniors, and individuals with limited resources often face total loss with little guidance and no safety net.

Overlooked Foundation was created to address these gaps. We are building an organization that starts with direct action and grows with long-term vision.

Our mission is to ensure that anyone whose life has been devastated by disaster is seen, supported, and not left alone in the recovery process. Whether the crisis is a fire, flood, storm, or any major event, we focus on the individuals who fall through the cracks.

Emergency Relief Assistance

Awareness and Advocacy
Highlighting survivor experiences, identifying systemic gaps, and pushing for stronger policies and accountability in disaster response.

Overlooked Foundation began in the Pacific Palisades, but our mission extends far beyond one fire or one community. We support anyone who has experienced life-changing loss and has been left without a clear path forward.

Our goal is simple: provide practical support today while building a national resource for the survivors the system consistently overlooks.
